FAQ
Everything you need to know about Superheroes for Today.
What is Superheroes for Today?
Superheroes for Today is an AI-powered comic hero creation studio. You answer a few optional questions, and the AI generates a completely original superhero — with a unique backstory, life story, career arc, moral code, and three distinct appearance images. It's free to create and preview; a one-time $2.99 unlocks your hero for download.
Do I have to answer all the questions?
Not at all! Every field is optional. Any blanks are filled by our AI with creative, original ideas. You can even go back and edit the AI's suggestions after your hero is generated.
Are the superheroes really unique?
Yes. We're creating people — new characters — not recreating scenes or copying existing heroes. Our AI is specifically guided to generate wholly original characters with no resemblance to existing IP. You own what you create here.
What are the content rules?
We welcome all alignments — good, evil, warrior, complicated, anti-hero. Evil characters and villains are part of great storytelling. What we do NOT allow: any content that could be interpreted as depicting harm to minors, detailed torture scenarios, or content designed to promote real-world violence. Evil as a general archetype is fine. Once you leave here with your creation, it's yours to do with as you choose — we're just not the place to get ideas for those things.
What happens if I submit problematic content?
Our system handles violations in three stages: First, it quietly adjusts the content to something appropriate without interrupting you. If it keeps happening, you'll see a gentle on-screen reminder about our content rules. If the issue continues after that, you'll be shown our full rules and told this is your last chance before your account is suspended from the platform.
What formats can I download?
Your hero booklet is available in three visual styles: Clean Modern (included with your $2.99 purchase), Comic Book style (bold panels, halftone dots, vivid colors), and Cinematic Dark (dramatic, moody, cinematic). The first style is included; each additional style is $2.99.
Do I need an account to create a hero?
No account needed to start creating! You'll be asked to create a free account when you want to save your hero. A paid account upgrade ($2.99 per hero) is required to remove watermarks and download your booklet.
Once I purchase a hero, is it mine forever?
Yes. A $2.99 payment is a one-time charge per hero. Once purchased, you can download your booklet as many times as you like at no additional cost (for the same style).
